 [Pop-Up]The facility is only open to residents of Geauga and Trumbull counties, identification is required from everyone participating in any type of collection event. No commercial loads will be accepted! The facility will open every Wednesday, beginning May 4, 2011 through September 28, 2011. Wednesday hours of operation are 10:00 am to 6:00 pm. The facility will also be open the first Saturday of the months, May, June & August from 9:00 am to 12 Noon. Household hazardous waste and electronic/computer equipment will be accepted during these times. New acceptable items include microwave ovens and for a small fee, we will accept television sets. In Conjunction with the facility, the District will also hold one-day collection events. Community Scrap Tire Collections Please do not contribute to the scrap tire problem. When you purchase new tires for your vehicles please leave your old worn tires with the dealer for proper disposal. Many times when you take those old tires home, they end up as a useless item that you do not know how to get rid of. If these old tires are illegally dumped along our roadways, they will become problems for public agencies and landowners to deal with. They are not only eye soars but they also become breeding grounds for mosquitoes causing health hazards to animals and humans. They can also cause drainage problems if dumped in ditches and catch basins resulting in tax dollars being spent on cleanups. Remember the best way to dispose of your old tires is through the retailer that sold you the new ones!
